Rohit, Kohli should continue in ODIs if they perform: Sourav Ganguly

Former India captain Sourav Ganguly on Sunday feels Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli should continue playing ODIs as long as they are performing, given their "phenomenal" record in the fifty-overs format. Reacting to media reports suggesting that the upcoming ODI series in Australia could be the last for the celebrated duo, Ganguly said he was not aware of any such development. "I'm not aware of this, can't comment on this, he remarked when asked about the speculation. Ganguly however stressed that performance should be the deciding factor in prolonging their careers. "It's difficult to say. Whoever does well will play. If they do well, they should continue. Kohli's one-day record is phenomenal, even Rohit Sharma's. Both of them are phenomenal in white-ball cricket, he said during AWL Agri Business Ltd Event. Stainless steel manufacturers seek anti-dumping duties on cheap imports

The domestic stainless steel industry has filed a petition with the Directorate General of Trade Remedies (DGTR) to consider anti-dumping duties on cheap imports, which are posing a challenge to local players, Jindal Stainless Managing Director Abhyuday Jindal has said. The Indian Stainless Steel Development Association (ISSDA), on behalf of the industry, has filed the application to investigate the dumping of stainless steel items in the domestic market from a select group of countries, Jindal said, adding that the industry is now waiting for the DGTR to begin its investigation. The DGTR, under the Ministry of Commerce, is the apex authority for administering all trade remedial measures, including antidumping, countervailing duties and safeguard measures. In an interaction with PTI, Jindal said that the application was filed around the end of June. "DGTR also takes two to three months to start an investigation," he added. Prestige Estates acquires 102 acres in Q1, to build homes worth 20,400 cr

Realty firm Prestige Estates Projects Ltd has acquired 102 acres of land in the April-June quarter to build housing projects, with a potential to generate revenue of more than Rs 20,000 crore. Looking to expand its residential real estate business, Bengaluru-based Prestige Estates Projects has been acquiring land parcels outright and also partnering with landowners. According to its latest investor presentation, the company acquired a total of 102 acres of land in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai and Mumbai in the first quarter of this fiscal year. These land parcels will be used to develop residential projects, which would have an estimated gross development value (GDV) of Rs 20,400 crore. According to the presentation, Prestige Estates in Hyderabad acquired two plots -- 28 acres in Tellapur and 37 acres in Pulimamidi. In Bengaluru, the company has acquired three land parcels -- 10 acres in Poojanahalli - Devanahalli, 7 acres in Kothanuru, KR Puram and 10 acres in Ittangur,...
