India's ITeS (Information Technology and Enabled Services) sector is poised for significant expansion in 2025, with job opportunities projected to surge by 20 per cent, according to a report. The "Instahyre Tech Salary Index 2025" indicated shifting salary dynamics across different experience levels and domains. Instahyre, an AI-based hiring platform, drew insights from over 42,000 anonymised candidate profiles and more than 11,000 recruiter-candidate interactions. "Roles in AI, cybersecurity, and cloud computing are expected to witness a remarkable 75 per cent surge, driven by the rising adoption of emerging technologies. The gig economy and remote work models are also playing a crucial role in shaping the sector's growth, contributing to an estimated 10 per cent growth. Snowflake, Nasscom to train 100,000 Indians in data, AI over two years

Artificial Intelligence (AI) data cloud company Snowflake on Friday announced a collaboration with FutureSkills Prime, a digital skilling initiative by Nasscom and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), to drive data and AI skills. With this, Snowflake and Nasscom expect to enrol over one lakh professional and student learners onto Snowflake's free, on-demand, entry-level data and AI skills courses over the next two years. This initiative is supported by Snowflake's global program 'One Million Minds + One Platform' aimed towards global AI upskilling. As per Nasscom, India leads in the AI skills penetration and holds first and fifth ranks globally in AI talent concentration and AI scientific publications, respectively. The current gap, however, between demand and supply is about 51 per cent, and, by 2026, the estimated demand for professionals in India is expected to exceed one million.
