Network Planning Group under PM Gati Shakti prog approves 6 infra projects

The Network Planning Group (NPG) under the PM Gati Shakti initiative has approved six infrastructure projects related to renewable energy, road and railways, an official statement said on Wednesday. On October 13 last year, the PM Gati Shakti - National Master Plan was launched with an aim to develop integrated infrastructure to reduce logistics costs. All logistics and connectivity infrastructure projects, entailing an investment of over Rs 500 crore, are routed through the NPG. "The NPG under PM Gati Shakti at its 45th session examined and recommended 6 Infrastructure projects," the commerce and industry ministry said, adding that these projects will be developed in tandem with the PM Gati Shakti principles using the integrated and holistic approach. 156 critical infra-gaps identified for intervention under PM Gati Shakti

As many as 156 critical infrastructure gaps to ports and for movement of bulk commodities such as coal, cement, fertilizers and foodgrains, have been identified for intervention under the PM Gati Shakti initiative, an official statement said on Saturday. The PM Gati Shakti programme was launched by the government on 13th October 2021. So far, 44 Network Planning Group meetings held at the central level, wherein 66 major infrastructure projects worth Rs Rs 5 lakh crore, have been evaluated, the commerce and industry ministry said. The Network Planning Group (NPG) is constituted under the initiative. Allcargo buys partner's 39% stake in contract logistics arm for Rs 145 cr

Allcargo Logistics on Monday acquired the remaining 38.87 per cent stake of its partner ACCI in the contract logistics arm for Rs 145 crore, valuing the company at Rs 373 crore at an enterprise level. Allcargo has also decided to sell its non-core customs clearance business by divesting its 61.13 per cent stake for an enterprise value of Rs 42 crore. With the acquisition, Allcargo will take its stake to 100 per cent in the contract logistics business and create an effective synergy between contract logistics and express distribution. The acquisition price is based on the agreement that was signed with ACCI in 2016 and with growth in this business over the years, the company said in a statement. Sebi imposes Rs 62 lakh fine on 6 entities for fraudulent trading

Capital market regulator Sebi on Tuesday imposed fines totalling Rs 62 lakh on six entities for indulging in fraudulent trade practices in the shares of North Eastern Carrying Corporation Ltd (NECC). The regulator slapped a fine of Rs 15 lakh on Realstep Agencies, Rs 10 lakh each on Utkarsh Jain, Vanya Jain (promoters of NECC), Sairabanu Mohd Rafiq Fanaswala and Malatiben Ashokbhai Darji and Rs 7 lakh on Charamsukh IT Marketing. The order came after Sebi carried out an investigation in the scrip of NECC for the period from December 2016 to April 2017. It was alleged that Utkarsh, Vanya, Realstep, Fanaswala, Darji and Charamsukh IT Marketing had violated the provisions of PFUTP (Prohibition Of Fraudulent And Unfair Trade Practices) norms. The regulator found in its investigation that Utkarsh and Vanya sold shares and created misleading appearance of trading in the market for the days on which such trading took place.
