Farm Peace Strengths
Favourable ecosystem
The company cultivates and procures processing-grade potatoes from Sabarkantha, Aravalli, Mehsana and Banaskantha, where favourable soil and climatic conditions support high-quality potatoes for processing. Gujarat’s cool, dry climate, low humidity and suitable soil temperatures help maintain desirable starch and sugar levels, supporting the production of potatoes for chips, french fries and other processed products
Contract farming model
The company follows a 100% buyback model with fixed pricing, providing farmers assured market access and predictable income while reducing market-related risks. It also supports farmers with quality seeds, fertilizers, training and regular field guidance on irrigation, pest management, soil health and sustainable farming practices
Farmer relationship
The company has built a structured farmer network through its seasonal buyback model, providing certified seeds, technical guidance and pre-agreed prices while ensuring a reliable supply of quality produce. Its network grew to over 800 farmers across approximately 5,660 acres, producing 61,680 MT in FY 2026, while its model helps manage price risks, reduce post-harvest losses and support business scalability
Farm Peace Risks
Farmer participation risk
The company depends on farmers participating in seasonal buy-back arrangements, and dissatisfaction over pricing, seed supply, technical support or crop failures could reduce farmer participation and disrupt raw material supply. Competition from other buyers, better commercial terms or more profitable substitute crops could further reduce potato acreage, affecting operations and financial performance
Potato variety concentration risk
The company relies heavily on a limited range of processing-grade potato varieties, including Santana, Frysona, Innovators, Lady Rosetta and Chipsona, making it dependent on their demand from processing companies. Changes in consumer preferences, processing technology or crop choices may reduce demand, while diversification into new varieties or crops could require additional investment and operational adjustments
Regulatory compliance risks
The company’s operations depend on maintaining potato quality across seed distribution, procurement, grading, cold storage and transportation, and any lapse could lead to product rejection, disputes, losses or reputational damage. Non-compliance with FSSAI, ISO 9001:2015 or other certification requirements could result in penalties, certification suspension and restrictions on supplies to processing companies
