Nifty 50 closed at 15,691.40 (-85.9, -0.5%) , BSE Sensex closed at 52,323.33 (-178.7, -0.3%) while the broader Nifty 500 closed at 13,425.15 (-92.6, -0.7%)

Market breadth is in the red. Of the 1,759 stocks traded today, 610 were on the uptick, and 1,112 were down.

  • Tube Investments of India, Relaxo Footwears, Elgi Equipments and VST Industries are trading with higher delivery volumes compared to Wednesday.

  • Thyrocare Technologies trades higher as reports suggest online pharmacy PharmEasy is in talks to acquire the diagnostic chain for Rs 7,000 crore.

  • HDFC Securities maintains a 'Reduce' rating on Jubilant Foodworks, the franchise operator of Domino's Pizza, citing the expected recovery to be priced in. The restaurant operator's trailing 12-month PE is 182.7, against a 3-year average PE of 77.

  • Nazara Technologies trades higher as it acquires a 69.8% stake in Publishme, a gaming marketing company operating in the regions of Turkey, the Middle East and North Africa, for Rs 20 crore.

  • KEC International trades higher after the company bags new orders worth Rs 937 crore for railways segment, cables segment, transmission line & substation projects, and infrastructure works in the metals & mining segment

  • Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences' (KIMS) Rs 2,144 crore IPO is subscribed 35% with the retail portion receiving bids for 1.4 times the available quota on day 2 of the bidding process.

  • Advanced Enzyme Technologies is trading in green with 15 times its average weekly trading volume. Himadri Speciality Chemical, Max Financial Services and IIFL Wealth Management are trading with more than six times their average weekly trading volume.

  • APL Apollo Tubes' promoter cuts her stake in the company by 0.11%, selling 1.3 lakh shares worth Rs 19.4 crore via an insider trade.

  • Dodla Dairy's Rs 520 crore IPO is subscribed 2.1 times with the retail portion receiving bids for 3.9 times the available quota on day 2 of the bidding process.

  • Sundaram Clayton and TVS Motor Company sells 84.7 lakh shares (6.1% stake) of Suprajit Engineering for Rs 237.4 crore via bulk deals on Wednesday. Unifi Capital acquires 46.5 lakh shares (3.3% stake) in the company via other bulk deals for Rs 131.2 crore.

  • Natco Pharma, Power Grid Corporation of India and Tube Investments of India are trading lower ahead of their Q4FY21 earnings update later today.

  • ISGEC Heavy Engineering trades higher after the company bags an order from Tata Projects for the fabrication of stainless and alloy steel piping spools for its hydrocarbon project.

  • Somany Ceramics is trading higher as the tile manufacturer's Q4FY21 revenues rise 57% YoY to Rs 555 crore, with net profits up 3X to Rs 27.2 crore.

  • Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) of India reduces its stake in Tata Steel by 2.02% selling 2.4 crore shares via an insider trade on Wednesday. The steel maker's stock is up by 65% in 2021.

  • Welspun Enterprises falls as construction engineering company's Q4FY21 net profits drop by 54% YoY to Rs 41 crore with revenues up 16% to Rs 601 crore.

  • CESC's Q4 profits rise 15.6% YoY to Rs 423 crore as margins rise 652 bps to 31.7%, revenues rise 10% to Rs 3,003 crore.
